RE: New W.E.B. Griffin novel set in Korean War

My first posting seems to have gotten lost so let me respond again and
apologize if you get a duplicate. I would think that pro would mean anybody
who got paid for writing history. And I would like to add that I believe
there are many credible military historians who come to mind that did not
have any military experience. Among them are John Keegan, Brooks Simpson,
Gary Gallagher, Mark Grimsley, James McPherson, Stephen Ambrose.

The pro historians?? The ones with the Ph.D. in history (only 3
universities
offer the Ph.D. in military history: Ohio State; Kansas State; and
Temple/Pittsburgh) or the ones with practical experiences in the military?

<<for the pro historians who feel comfortable using works of fiction as
historical sources.>>
