As Cookie already told you, along 1951 the Soviet MiG-15 pilots were who
primarly engaged the F-86/F-84/F-80 and B-29s. Between April and May 1951
the task was performed by only 2 regiments (176 Guards and 196) of the 324
Division, commanded by Ivan Kozhedub, and since June they were reinforced by
3 more regiments (17, 18 Guards and 523) of the 303 division -CO: Georgii
Lobov- and all those 5 regiments stayed in Korea until January 1952. Until
September 1951 the CO of the 64 Corp was I.V.Belov, and Georgii Lobov took
the command in October (his succesor as 303 Division's commander was A.
Kumanichkin).
Was during this time when the USAF found the biggest amount of "Honchos"
(experienced MiG-15 pilots) over the "MiG Alley".

Diego Zampini.
