60 Minutes piece with the French Military officer

Well I typed another message that I must not have clicked on "send" . this 
was it:

I think 60 Minutes had the piece on torture last night that Carl told us 
about.  The topic was whether U.S. should or should not torture terrorist to 
find out what they are up to next.  The French military officer thought U.S. 
should torture them.   There was nothing edifying about brainwashing that 
would shed any light on POWs in Korean POW camps reporting biological/germ 
warfare and then recanting later.
  The French officer was very scary, not someone I would want to cross (and 
then I added even in his dotage)
    But I looked up dotage and this man is old - but not in his dotage...
