Well, YSK, I liked MASH. And apparantely many people did. It was one of
the first "anti war" movies and it successfully portrayed the message in an
entertaining way.
I did my job in the KW and I think my contribution was significant. I
purposely made the decision not to become a "ground pounder" but I had a lot
of friends who were.
But I was also a young kid who had a lot of fun and fortunately was not
called on to make the final sacrifice, which BTW I would have done willingly.
Would I have participated in something immoral or unethical? I don't think
so, but I don't know for sure. I think of us as the good guys who once in a
while do something wrong, but not as a policy and with a conciousness.
