Re: Interest in the Korean War

Ed, a question.  Richard Hooker (a nome de Guerre?) wrote MASH and MASH goes to Maine, the post war sequel.  Both I thought excellent books.  They were written, so my book cover says, by a Korean war MASH surgeon, which WEB Griffin was not.  Is it possible that Butterworth wrote the follow on MASH goes to New Orleans, Detroit, ad naseum, which although funny, had about as much to do with the Korean war as square dancing?  Is that the MASH series to which you were referring?

BTW, my favorite line from the original MASH movie was a dialogue between Major Burns and Hawkeye (IIRC)
MAJ Burns:  "How did such an incompetent person rise to such a position of responsibility in the United States Army?"
Hawkeye:  " I was drafted"
You can't imagine the reaction this got from a theater full of young troops and draft age males back nearly 30 some odd years ago when I first saw it.
