RE: July 4 1952
Hi, Cookie.

Thanks for the data. That explaned a lot. Tomas Polak told me that the 256th
IAP of the 190th IAD had only one pilot who claimed to became an ace: Major
Boris N. Zabelin -its commander- who scored 8 kills, half of the score of
the whole regiment! I guess there were only 2 or 3 aces in the whole
division.
Adittionally, that also explained why the only Soviet Sabre killers of the
day were MiG-15 pilots of the 518th IAP of the 216th IAD (Mikhail Mihin shot
down Austin Beetle and Sr.Lt. Krutsckykh shot down Clifford Holley).

Does it mean that the 324th IAD was the responsible for the training of the
190th IAD? Did the 303rd IAD do the same with the 97th IAD or some other
newcomer division?
Thank you again.
Diego Zampini.
PS: please check if accidentally you put a blockade to my e-mail address
which did not allow me to receive mails from you. Now I replied your message
only because Dan Fahey used it to keep on arguing about the duel Phanter vs
MiG.
