Re: TANK WARS

A good primary document is Operations Research Office Employment of Armor in Korea. Vol 1 at Military History Institute's digital library. 330 pg takes awhile to download even with cable modem and no status bar so seems like it's just not working.

Section on NKPA tank losses has the results of the survey of 239 dead T-34's left below the 38th
parallel after Inchon quoted in a lot of books. 60 to napalm, 17 to rockets, 7 to strafing, 7 to bombs, 10 air not specified, 39 to UN tanks, rest arty. infantry weapons, abandonments in the retreat etc. 74 SU-76's were also lost about 1/2 by air napalm again leading. Futrell "USAF in Korea" pg 175 quotes 452 claimed by air for the period.

Section on UN losses has 17 of 164 UN tank combat losses caused by enemy tanks, mines the leading cause at 64.

Subject: TANK WARS

You may know where to go for this.
The history books saw the USA/Allies facing Russian T34 tanks.
I think we had the Pershing against them.  Were there any classic Tanks battles?
Also what tanks did the opponents use against wach other.

What is a good place to learn about their tactics in that environment?

The USA seemed to use the HVAR Rockets on the ground attack aircraft.
To me they did not have the energy to knock out a tank.
What did we use other then maybe Napalm?

Thanks
