If you were to take a look at the entire text, you would see that yes indeedy, they will be repaid and in some cases have already been repaid, including their widows.

 We ARE talking about bucks if you know anything about British taxes.  Wonder what they'll do to correct this injustice.  Brit vets live on pennies, I think.
