It is true that Rhee met MacA in Tokyo in 1949 too.
But, as I said Rhee probably met MacA when he
stopped in Tokyo on his return to Seoul in Oct. 1945.
MacA provided his personal plane for Rhee's trip.

And then MacA was a guest speaker at Rhee's
inauguration in Seoul, 8/1948.
