May 1950 Soviet pilot V.S. Yefremov, flying a La-11, claimed to have shot down a USAF F-51 over the Chukotka Penninsula.

Dan,There were apparently no confirmed fights between F-51s and La-9/11s in Korea. The Soviets claim that those which took place in China during 1949-50 were all decided in the favor of the La-11s, whose heavier armament of 3 x 23mm guns could blow the Mustang away before it could escape.
Note that these were ROC flown aircraft.
