Probably better than that. This accounts for only 690 aircraft losses, and the USAF alone lost 1,729 and the USN/USMC around 1,200 more. Remember that a lot of the KIA came from the bombers - up to 4 in a B-26 (C model) and up to 14 in a B-29.
Still, for all of the flash of the fighter jocks, the guys who really bore the brunt of the Korean war were the piston-engined fighter-bomber pilots, and they took a higher percentage of losses and KIA.
