In the months prior to the Korean War, ROKA and National Police units were
systematically sweeping the southeast corner of South Korea for
guerrillas. The entire area had been declared a combat zone, thus anyone
caught in civilian clothing with a weapon could be tried by military
court-martial and shot as a spy under a loose interpretation of
international law. The execution of some of these guerrillas may be what
the video shows.
