Hi jsk-

The tone of your remarks sound a little sarcastic but maybe this is just
what I have come to expect of you. This is a sensitive topic but an
interesting and legitimate one and I'll wade in to test the waters. Please no
flames.
The whole idea of our own "comfort stations" is foreign to us and probably
against military law but American boys are at least as horny as anyone else
and so they don't mind being entertained by the local women. And being
lectured and protected is in order. Read about the American civil war general
Hooker for some interesting background here.
There were stories about American nurses "moonlighting" in Korea for a
price. I was tempted but never partook but I believe the stories. Safer than
the locals.
The whole idea of comfort stations leaves a bad taste in our mouths and
I'm not sure exactly why. I think the reason is that the stories we read are
that these women were invariably mistreated.
Besides, every boy wanted to find out for himself the truth of the stories
of horizontal versus vertical :-)
