Hi Diego-

I believe R&R stood for rest and recuperation.
I can tell you some of the places I went. Three places in the Tokyo Japan
area I really liked were Kamakura where the big Budha is. And two places I
liked were Atami and Niiko, one was on a beautiful lake, I can't remember
which off hand. Japn is one of the beautiful countries of the world.
Another popular place I visited was Hong Kong which had just about
everything you could want. Everyone of my friends had expensive clothes made
there for ridiculous low prices and then when we got to the States found out
they were out of style :-(
Hawaii and Australia were too far away but some of my buddies went to
Manila and Clark Field. I had a friend married a girl in Manila whose father
owned a department store. So many wealthy families in Manila tried to marry
their daughters off to Americans that it became a joke.
