 Greetings comrade:

THanks for responding. I don't know if I told you what I'm doing already
 - looking for stories and subjects for a Korean War documentary - but
I'd be interested in hearing more about your experiences. Perhaps you
have written about the subject already? If not, maybe you could outline,
chronologically, your experiences. Where were you from? How old were you
when you enlisted? (were you in the Marines before the KW broke out? or
joined because?). Your unit, reg., Div.? What did you think about the
war (or what you were about to get yourself into) before you left the
States? What did they tell you and did it adequately prepare you for the
realities of Korea? Landed in Japan - what was the mood like there
(unless you were already at the Pusan Perimeter with the 5th)? Did you
know what was going to happen? Describe the trip over and landing at
 Inchon...

Well, lot's of questions to start. Don't know if you want to answer them
all. Let me know what you think...

 Cheers

I think it'd be terrific if ChosinMead would tell us what happened at
Chosin,which
units participated and also the retreat to Hungnam (or was it Hamhung?)
Jeez,I'm
commencing to lose it! Waal, you cain't stay young forever, you know!
One reason, not the only one,for my curiosity is that once in a while I hear
on Spa
nish lingo radio in Central Florida statements about the Chosin-Hungnam
campaign
that get me wondering. I warn't there so therefore I can say nothing about it!
By the way, this ain't important but why Chosin is sometimes called Changyin or
som'p like that? I tell ya,I dunno why I'm so nosey! Chico
