Re: ROK Army
Don,
Well said. What John2 is giving the list, verbatim in many instances, is
the history of the Korean War as taught in North Korea. A good example was
in his latest post,
"If Uncle Sam did not provide any economic/military support
to Rhee, it would not have been even necessary for N.K.s to come down."
In other words what he is saying it is was "necessary" for North Korea to
liberate the Korean people from the Dastardly Rhee and Americans so they
invaded. Right out the text books. The mere fact that this flies in the
face of their claim South Korea attacked North Korea and that is the reason
they counterattacked" is beside the point. <g>
Another small point it the Taejon Massacre. I guess he doesn't know that
a team of UN forensics experts from non-combatant countries examined that
site and determined that most of those buried in the mass grave died
between late July and early September 1950 -- when this area was under NK
control. And that most were executed with Soviet-made weapons. The UN also
has several hundred affidavits from people in the area taken shortly after
UN forces retook the area, all saying the NK's carried daily
executions. The top layer of bodies included South Korean and American
POW's. These documents identify many of the shooters and units involved.
