Re: ROK Army

The ROK History Compilation Agency and the Defense Ministry have compiled and published the 'official history' of the Korean War, which BTW support John2's allegations.

Some of the list members here seem to be stuck in the old groove tainted with the old Cold War propaganda and refuse to accept or even study the facts uncovered in recent years by ROK government historians.  The facts are in the open and those who seek the truth don't have to look too far to find them.

Now, don't tell me the ROK official historians are commies and don't tell that Tonight Talk Show fellow (what's his name?) about them - else he will tell more anti-Korean jokes.

I understood.

To expand a little, in pre-Korean War Korea the opposition and underground
presses published a lot of things this or that politician was alleged to
have said or done, some of it true, some of it partially true and some pure
fantasy.  This is the stuff left-leaning historians use for cites but never
check to see if what they are quoting has basis in fact or not.  If they
run across something that challenges what they wrote/write, they simply
ignore it.
