Glen,

I am no expert on that, but I understand US
turned over much of its military equipments when US troops
withdrew from S.Korea in 1949, valued at more than
$100 million.

John,
I say again, they got no tanks, no planes, and almost no artillery.  They got small arms and ammo.  No price tag was put on the equipment, only quantities.  They were trained and equipped not as an army but as a constabulary force.
