No idea.  Only naval action on the first day of the war I know about was 
the sinking of the NK troops ship off Pusan Harbor by PC-701.  Could have 
been one of the two or three WWII Japanese-built 50-foot patrol boats used 
by ROK  customs in the Inchon area.  They could have engaged infiltrators 
or the like.

I have a feeling these were the PT's JACK came up with.  They had four PT's 
rebuilt shortly after the war began, converting the torpedo tubes to gas 
tanks to give extended range.  They could have turned these over to ROKN 
when they (JACK) closed down its seaborne ops.

Mine sweepers came into the picture later in the war but don't know when.
