ADMINISTRIVA. VIRUS WARNING

I have received three note today about reception of a message,
supposedly sent by Microsoft Corporation Security Center to
Microsoft users, warning about the spread of a worm - W32.Gibe@mm
-
through e-mail. This message is in fact an attempt to encourage
the recipient to open an attachment - Q216309.exe -which
itself carried a worm and trojan horse. The worm spreads itself
through a mass-mailing, and the trojan horse allows remote access
to one's system.

Symantec rates W32.Gibe@mm as a Category III threat, based
primarily upon its increasingly wide distribution.

See

for details.
