Sharing outsiders input

Hello, been quite here for a while. 'thought I'd share with you the email
I received from a 53 year old man and his knowledge and thoughts about the
Korean War and how it affects the world now:

- Gernilee (Don's little sister) 24d/21st/3rd/Co M. KIA 7/11/50
You lost a brother named Donovan in Korea? That is tough. It sounds like an
Irish or scottish name... What branch of service was your brother in?
Infantry? That was the "forgotten war." The policy of limited expectations
that set up the failure in Vietnam. Your family can be proud that there is
at least a very thriving South Korea. North Korea is a rogue nation with the
son running the deal and starving his people. The former Soviet Union-- a
major factor in the past-- is out of the picture. The question is China and
that country will be a major (if not #1) focus or should be the focus for us
in the 21st century. In my opinion, they are on the way to dominate the
Far East economically and politically. They can be a great trading partner
or a serious enemy. Soon 2 billion people... That is a lot of rice...

Korea is a lynch pin. too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. But
the Kimshee is ok. Just eat it with friends that you need to stick with for
awhile.
Thanks, Talk to you.
Bob

Regards, Gernilee
