The Soviets claim a bunch more with fewer losses, too, but of the Sabres lost (and there are a bunch of those) they have claims against 13 of them. The Soviets admit to 39 losses in that same 60 day period, but there is no idea of Chinese losses. Once again, I think the USAF did right by itself, but it isn't quite the one-sided shellacking they claim. Several F-86s lost had POWs or MIAs for which the USAF still has not acknowledged a reason for loss, and KORWALD supports the fudging on exact numbers ("Lost to enemy action"? Huh?)
