RE: MiG pilots got worse
Yes.. I agree with you.
But I wonder how much we were outnumbered.
>From Cookie and Diego it appears that we were not always outnumbered.
In fact we had the larger attacking forces with F84 and F86 escort.
The Migs made pass after pass. We chased like a fat man running up hill.
The Fighter Escort must have used poor tactics as few Migs seemed to be shot
down
on each of the battles. At least to the point we were not daylight bombing.
I figure the F84's were totally useless as a Fighter Escort. Supposedly
brought in in case the F86's could not do their job.
If the bombers were at 30k or lower the Migs had to dive carefully. But
their sustained zoom climb out left us in the dust.

Sabres did probab;y get the wrst of the fight. Course being outnumbered in
theater 10 to 1 did not help much. Also the Migs being able to turn tale and
run back across the yalu when it got too hot for them.We had a lot of
catching up to do and I think We did real well under the conditions. Also
our planes went visting on occassion and left some calling cards that took a
while to repair. Not many admit to crossing the Yalu but it happened.
