RE: MiG pilots got worse

History Channel is using old data....We were rarely outnumbered.
Except they had more Migs then we had Sabers. But that is the only case.

However we had a lot more of everything else.
F80, F84, F9F, Meteor, Skynight, F82, F51, F4U, AD4, F6F (R/T Kamakazi),
F7F, F8F, Furys, Spitfires, B45, B29, B26. The USA was the dominant Airforce in Korea.
We used up the last of our WW2 stock of weapons.

The Russians used the La11, Yak9 and Mig15.
The Chinese had Bombers and Prop fighters.  Most of these were shot down.
Later the Chinese got the Mig 15.

No other jets were used by Russia.
It would have been unwise of them and they knew it.  Our airforce would have
shot them down as easily as the Migs shot down our less performing aircraft.

Had the Russians used the Yak15/17 or Mig 9 our
prop planes such as the F51and Corsair would have been considered competitive.
I think all of our straight wing were better then the Russians.
Yet, the Mig 15 was outstanding and versitile. The Russians learned a lot, too.

Yes.. I agree with you.
But I wonder how much we were outnumbered

According to the history channel last night We were outnumbered 10 to 1. I sorta believe them. I know that we had a lot of catching up to do
