Re: list members arguing

Abe -

I believe the New York Times got hold of a copy of a contingency plan from an insider.  Some people suspect that it was a deliberate leak by the White House.

Gen. MacArthur was the first to work out a plan to nuke Korea (' a belt of radioactive zone') in 1950-51 and subsequent field commanders had elaborated and even mounted mock nuclear bombing raids in North Korea.  In fact, the US Military had tactical nukes ready to go in South Korea until a decade or two ago.

The  next war in Korea will most likely be nuclear.   The US CIA believes NK has "one or two" nukes already. Some intelligence experts suspect that NK had acquired nukes in the 60's.  NK claims, although it does not have any nuke now, it can and will hustle up some in a hurry - if they had to.

NK had a world renowned chemist educated in Japan (several NK guns are named after him - BTW, he also invented a fiber similar to nylon), who had invented  explosives well-suited for nuke triggering.

A few weeks ago you inquired about the possibilities of an A-Bomb being brought into Korea during the hostilities.  I saw no response.  Did you hear anything?
