| Hi Gernilee, I think your friend pointed out himself that he found out the hard way what happens when you lie about your age. He didn't have a choice in the matter if he kept his mouth shut about his age, and could only do what the Army ordered him to do. I'm glad it turned out right for him, and he did well to wind up as a CW4! It's too bad a lot of today's "Tater Tots" (teenage couch potatoes who play video games) don't get to hear about how different reality can be from what you think it is. I know I had to deal with a number of whiners as a platoon sergeant who didn't seem to understand that the Army (a) isn't all fighting (b) has some thoroughly nasty or boring (or worse, both) places for you to serve and (c) doesn't have to promise you much at all to meet their end of an enlistment contract.
