Hi Dan-

   A very high percentage of Chinese POWs refused repatriation. 14,247 
Chinese prisoners refused repatriation, most choosing to live in Taiwan under 
the nationalist Chinese Government. 
   A higher percentage of North Koreans opted to return home 75,823 of the 
83,501. However an estimated 25,000 were released by the South Korean 
government prior to the truce agreement.
