Re: slang
Okay Maury you're going to have to fillin the ______ for me. you can let
off the 'B '- and 'd' so you won't offend John2 - and I can put it together
myself! Bad me! George Washington from what I've read had some choice
words for the German soliders who spoke only German during the Revolution.
He thought they were stupid bastards. Here in Pennsylvania Dutch Country
they still seem like stupid bastards! and I am decended from them. John2
is it okay to call your own group bad names?

Slang words have been you through out History. I don't guess we could call
the men that fought in Bastonge (sp) The Battered B-----d of Bastonge. They
may take offense. Course most are in their 80's if living. Maybe Johnny Reb
would get dander up. Yankee would be a cause of concern.
We are not even allowed to fly a rebel flag over a capital in the South.
Afraid we will offend someone.
We may have had some names for the Korean soldier but it was a whole lot
easier to say than Communist Chinese forces or some such thing ED remembers
Sanders shouting THEY're COMMING We knew what He was shouting about. So now
They're could be a no no word.
John 2 give it up no one feels sorry for you. you make your own way in this
life.
Maury
Regards, Gernilee
