Planting Mines in the DMZ?

I was watching Joint Security Area, which is a South Korean FILM (not a historical document) concerning several ficticious events in the Panmunjon
(spelling?) area.  During the film the ROK forces screw up their navigation and cross a minefield.  In another incident they cause
the detonation of a minefield.  Anyway, I was wondering if ROK forces or NKPA forces get navigation errors and sometimes cross the DMZ through
DMZ. I was also wondering if the ROK or NKPA or both forces routinely add/replace mines within minefields along the DMZ.  I don't
screwing up and crossing the DMZ would be published, but I was wondering if anecdotes point to that.
