Interesting comment...same thing was said about Kennedy and Kruschev during
the Missile Crisis.
A friend of mine that worked for the Sargent Shrivers and Pres Kennedy
stated that Kruschev and Kennedy had to engineer a peaceful solution as the
Military Leaders on both sides were pitching for a fight.
Seemed that Stalin was of the same mentality and explains why he provided
limited support.to NK and Chinese. All of it Fighters, training and keeping
his pilots hand in air combat. The Russian pilots did no ground attacking
from any history data I have seen.
Interesting because Ground Attacking was a Russian specialtiy during WW2.
They lost a lot of plane but they killed a bunch of German/Axix soldiers and
equipment.
