Your question is both true and false, I had an uncle who was a tail
gunner in WW II in Europe and he and his buddies from the plane have kept
in touch all these years and just had a reunion this past year.
For myself, I was close to many while in Korea and unfortunately lost
touch with them after a few years, I am once again trying to find a way
to contact them, but seemed once home and out of service all of a sudden
just daily living took over and writing went by the wayside, am sure many
feel as I do, that we made a mistake.
