More on Rifle Company Reunions

I checked the Korean War Project and found at least
three Army rifle companies and two heavy mortar
companies that have reunions scheduled for this year. 
Three of them were Army National Guard outfits.  I
would think those units would be more likely to have
reunions since many of the personnel in the units were
originally from the same part of the state, trained
together, deployed to Japan and then fought in Korea
for a few months until the Guardsmen started to become
casualties and/or rotate.  It would be interesting to
see how many of the vets from these companies that
attend these reunions were Guardsmen, as opposed to
fillers that joined the unit during training or
soldiers that joined the unit as replacements in
Korea.  I think there would be few, if any, attendees 
in the latter two categories.
