Another bit of history uncovered:
During the Korean War, a small band of Chinese
residents in Korea formed a covert action unit (Army 4863, Detachment
S.K). Their primary mission was intelligence collection behind enemy
lines. Since they spoke Chinese, they were assigned to work on
CCF.
Less than 10 of 70 or so members
survived the war. Ironically, no government wants to take care of the
few still living today - as far as Seoul is concerned, they are Chinese,
Taiwan says they are Koreans, the US has no records of these men.
