"The Secrets of Inchon"  just came out a month or two ago.  I received a 
preview copy back in January.  I suspect the MS was intended by Clark (now 
deceased) to be for the enjoyment of his family, not for publication, so is 
"colorful."

As for the article, it too takes some liberties with facts.  For one, KLO 
was not involved in the Clark mission, only Clark, local National 
Policemen, local militia, a couple of British ships, and Royal Marine 
support (minimal.)  This said, the Palmi-do operation did happen pretty 
much as described except the NK troops were blown out of the water by naval 
gunfire before they arrived.

Bottom line:  It is the old story that after all these years, events in 
everyone's mind have a way of changing. <LOL>
