Yes, the Civil War bothers me, but we still fought. My family had eight Yankees in the war, and my great grandfather was an Ohio artilleryman captured at the Battle of Chickamauga. He spent 16 months as a p.o.w., the last being Andersonville (which he escaped from once, but was recaptured). Some of the family didn't come back. We're still Americans, however.

Then the Civil War would really bother you, while it was not foreign, but interior,  that war was brother against brother, son against father as well as cousins from both sides of the line.  Here, the enemy was us.
