Jose, I went to the link you suggested. The map shows that the 65th never traveled north of Sudong. My statement that they never left the Hungnam perimeter stands corrected. I should have been more precise, I meant to suggest that they were in a defensive position somewhat away from the heavy fighting. The map also indicates that Task Force Dog occupied defensive positions at Chinhung-ni. If I am reading it right, the map symbols (arrows) indicate Marines attacked (1st Battalion, 1st Regiment) northward to hill 1081 and just South of the treadway bridge. Perhaps you confused TF Dog with the Marines? I have copied the suggested reading from the Book Review Page, and will look into the activities of the 65th. Incidentally in the Book Review section I was surprised to find my letter to Newsweek Magazine-small world. I'll let you know what I find. Thank you for your suggestions. Lee
