I was a line soldier ,1951 -  1952 , at the front , 30 days online 30 days off  . The only R&R I got was 3 days in Seoul  and was sent back there with two other boys from my outfit . I never heard of any one in my outfit 
that got R&R in any other place but Seoul . We stayed 
at an old hotel with bullet marks and shell holes in the out side walls . Army chow and cots , armed troops on the street but we thought it was great .
