Good job, Bob. We are obviously on the East Coast, or you just never sleep. I'm off to work to teach summer school now. Keep posting, your stories are invaluable.

If so, thanks a lot, Beth. If not, I am no more confused than usual.Bob----- Original Message -----From: Beth CullomSent: Wednesday, June 26, 2002 6:28 AMSubject: Starting a new discussion, the quick "how to"Bob:
To begin a new thread, simply change the "Subject" line to the topic you would like to discuss. In this case, I clicked "Reply" to your post, then erased the "Subject" and replaced it with the new topic. It really is that simple.
If you starting a new thread, just compose a new letter and send it to:
KOREAN-WAR-L@raven.cc.ku.edu When done in this way, there will not be any old text like there is when clicking "Reply."
For what it matters, I try to make it a habit to clean-up all of the unnecessary ads, etc. in my posts when I click "Reply" so that only the previous text that I want to refer to remains showing. To me it's just a little thing, a courtesy if you will, for those who may be in situations where computer time is at a premium, or large file sizes can pose a problem. People on this list are already courteous in this respect, but I thought I would mention it as it's part of the "How To" tutorial that I occasionally give.
You asked a good question, Bob, as our threads are often times improperly titled, which ultimately will make future historical retrieval difficult. It would be a shame if a veteran's primary history were to be overlooked one day by an historian because the content line was improperly labeled.

How do you go about starting a new discussion here? You have to be very specific (click here, then click there), because I am very dumb.Bob Dove
