Re: Current NK Military Operations

Oh it was really great when I had to address my Mom's concern about North
Korea
by giving her a detailed description of the North Korean attack plan.

I think my Mom worries about it. I got my Mom a Korean penpal in Inch'on
before I told her
about my plans to go to Yonsei. Anyway, I've explained why a war isn't
likely to break out
and if it does poor Yumi and I will be wiped out within a few hours, so
don't worry too much!

The plan kind of backfired!
Mom wants me to marry Yumi though (so much for ostracism and race relations
in the South!) and she
keeps giving me hints like "I hope both of you go to the same school."
"I feel like Yumi is my other daughter." "Yumi is the most beautiful girl
in the world."
"Your Cousin and Yumi are the sweetest girls in the world."
"Oh, MacArthur landed where Yumi lives right?"
"Let's pray for Yumi."
Just in case you have any doubts about my Mom's feelings:
"If you have children with Yumi..."
Yumi is one of those methodist Koreans and Mom's a methodist.

A great thing about America is that we've never had a Confucian tradition
arranged marriages,
but I think my Mom is beginning to grow fond of old man Confucius!

Wow, I'm surprised I got that close on the attack plan. That's one thing
about the
North Korean attack plan - if it's not broken don't fix it.

How much does a MK-82 dumb bomb cost these days?
