Interestingly, the article doesn't mention two of the more effective KPA air
defense tactics - camouflage and cables. As the war progresses the KPA and
CPV ground forces became extremely adept at using camouflage and deception
which made things quite difficult at times for the UN air forces. For
combating low level ground attacks against priority targets (e.g., bridges,
tunnels, etc.) in mountainous terrain it was not uncommon for the KPA to
string steel cables across valleys to ensnare attacking aircraft.

While I have heard of such modifications being constructed during the war I
have never seen any.
