Re: USAF 600n AISS Veterans and Family

ysk,
I was not in Korean War ,I was in WW-2 In Phillipine Islands. When the war ended
I was with first troops in Taegu,  Korea. The Japanese soldiers were still  there
and we relaced their guards with our soldiers. At that time we got along
very well with Korean people

Subject: USAF 600n AISS Veterans and Family

Hi,

The Korean veterans (about 70 still alive) of the USAF 600x units  AISS are about to launch an association to:

- Compile the history of the units
- Promote friendship and mutual self-help
- Obtain official recognition for their services
- Accounting of the missing on missions in North Korea

This association will be open to all veterans of the units - American, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and so on.  It is expected to have several groups:

- Oryu-dong HQ staff
- 'Islanders'
- American advisors and support staff at the island bases
- ROKAF special forces attached to the AISS.

If you or your family members have served with the units, please send me a note.:
