GWb and his gang undid a whole lot of work to get the Koreas somewhat
unitied without a fight.
China would be very greatful of the Koreans united.
That way the Northern Korea migration into China will go to South Korea

This is because the war with Saddam has nothing to do with the US. It has to do with the Bush family, and extended Familles in the US and Middle East. Meaning the control of Oil. Which all the countries in Europe, China, Indian and Europe have the same interest.DF,
Wahoo! For the most part, I couldn't have said it better.
>>Much of this distrust comes from the last war in Iraq when the US threw away the Golden Goose. <<
IMO It comes from the imperious attitude by the Bushites who project the attitude that they can do whatever they want and the rest of the world will either genuflect or incur the wrath of the world's greatest rogue nation.
>>Korea was doable because we had balancing budget and lot of left over WW2 equipment. Fighting the war was mostly a logistical cost, not a production cost.<<
Korea was a thorn in the side of getting NATO up and started, and the JCS were more worried about eating into the resources of that than they were in getting the Korea War over with. After the Chinese pushed UNC back below the 38th parallel, the UN strategy was to take as much territory as necessary to get above that parallel and protect that boundary while working on the peace talks. Unfortunately, the Communists were willing to kill time, so the war kept on for two more years.
