When I was writing my post, I was thinking that it wasn't very heavy on details, but worthy of mention. It is a quick study though, for someone who is just looking for an introduction to the subject matter. Just one of the factors that indicate its light weight is that it has no bibliography. But, the pictures are definitely worthwhile, and present a relatively comprehensive collection of the aircraft involved in the war.
One of the topics that drew me to the book was that it had some information about the 1st Marine Air Wing, and the ground to air war. It provided some information that helped to advance my awareness of this subject.
