(The more I get into this topic, talking to survivors etc., the more I realize just how suddenly and massively Task Force Faith was attacked. My interest in this was kindled in the early 60s during a happy hour conversation with two NCOs who had been with Faith. They were quite bitter about the lack of recognition from the Marine Corps that Faith had stalled a Chinese attack that would have taken the 1st MarDiv in flank, and cut off at least two (1st &5th) and possibly three (7th) Marine Regiments.) |
