Combat MPs

My son was one of these during the Gulf War. We used to see these guys out in the middle of nowhere. Just two of them, and a jeep, at a lonely road intersection. Or maybe guarding (?) a dinky little bridge.

Two carbines, and two 45's against maybe a regiment concealed just on the other side of the hill. Those guys must have had more guts than you can hang on a fence.

I felt especially bad when we passed them as we pulled back to Hamhung on 6X6s. They would just wave at us as we passed. I always hoped they would make it out OK. I often wonder how many of them didn't make it back.
