Think you are mistaken about mounting quad-50s on jeep because the mount
and guns take up too much room and weigh too much. Could have been mounted
on 3/4 or GMC. Along these lines, early in the war a number of outfits
fixed up jeeps with two 50 caliber MGs. One would be mounted a "swivel"
mount on the passenger side and the second on a stand mounted between the
seats.

constant stream of fire. While one of the cannons was firing, the other
one was loading. BOOM.. BOOM ... BOOM ... BOOM. It was just about this
fast. The North Koreans or Chinese who were chasing us probably found
this barrage very effective. They didn't stick around to discuss the
matter with us.<<
Now I wonder why? LOL
Does anyone know if twin-40s were ever mounted on half-tracks?
