WWII airplanes -- and WWI craft, as well -- are turning up all the time in
Europe. But I have a rather extensive library on Patton, and none of these
books mention a son killed as a pilot in WWII. There WERE a lot other
"Pattons" serving in the War, of course, this being a not-uncommon US name,
and I could see some newspaper reporter jumping to an unjustified conclusion.
