You just might be right Marc, since the Press Wire came out of Europe and not here.  Since none of the reporters today have any idea about WW II let alone Patton, it could be a mistake by the reporter in England.

I have never read about Patton as I just was not interested in him, so I did not question the article.   I did see the movie and thought Scott was a better Patton than Patton was.   And remember the incident where he slapped the soldier was in the papers at the time as well as his death.
