Clearing up my points of view
Alright, to be very clear on my point of view.
1. I believe it is good that the US Army's website on Korea's 50th
anniversary
calls the battle the Changjin Resorvior. I thought it was "cool" that it
was
pointed out by Les Hanson. (Sorry for my juvenile choice of vocabulary.)
2. I believe it is equally good that on the Korean Embassy's website they
refer to
the battle at the Chanjin Resorvior as the Chosin Resorvior.
3. I think in historicaly accounts and bilingual materials it should be
noted that many
Americans refer to the Changjin Resorvior as the Chosin Resorvior
4. I think personal attacks are not productive for the list.
5. I believe that Joe Brennan makes the most valid argument regarding
Peking/Beijing/Peiping
6. I will submit well thought out and well edited post of much higher
quality.
7. I agree with LACarr:
August 1 -- Sept 4 2002 so far
Results
No winners No losers. The first battle came out quicker than this one. No
one will change anyones mind what little is left aftrer 50 years

Heavens, but do we know this? We know little of the lad. But, whatever
his race, when he starts propounding that the Chinese are cool and have all
the answers, well, he must endure the odor of the dogs he lies down with.
