              I take it for granted that that Map is a print from a U.S.Army Map.

Les, if your info comes from the Army maps-then they are wrong - the battle of the Chosin Reservoir took place from Nov. 27 to Dec.11, 1950. After Dec.11 the First Marine Division and attached units had entered into the Hungnam perimeter, and for all intents and purposes the battle was over then. Lee
